Heusinkveld Ultimate+ Sim Pedals are designed for high-end professional motorsport simulators. Throttle

Smooth, accurate and greatly adjustable, the throttle pedal gives you excellent control with exactly the travel, spring preload and resistance you prefer.

The throttle features a 1-way hydraulic damper which resists speed at the ingoing stroke. This helps with smoothing the throttle application and is also used on many real cars for this purpose. The amount of damping can be adjusted.

Durable load cells provide a true linear input measurement of the pedal position. Custom non-linear output curves can freely be configured using Heusinkveld SmartControl software.

Brake

The brake features a realistic dual stage brake system with a 200kg load cell, capable of handling a maximum actual brake force of up to 140kg (measured at the brake pedal plate). The adjustable initial coil spring simulates the initial pad-to-disc gap, meaning you can accurately calculate pedal travel with each press. The main brake springs are all new custom made Heusinkveld injection molded thermoset elastomers.

These proprietary elastomers are smooth and responsive and provide an unprecedented progressive brake resistance (convex force curve) just as you would have in a real race car. On the ingoing and outgoing stroke they have firm bump and rebound characteristics.

Automated testing shows these elastomers have zero performance degradation even after one million duty cycles. You can choose from a total of 9 possible resistance settings, allowing you to choose how the pedal behaves, very soft to extremely stiff.

The brake features a 2-way hydraulic damper. This damping resists speed at the ingoing and outgoing stroke just as experienced in actual brake assemblies. The amount of damping is adjustable.

Clutch

A clutch feels lighter towards the end of travel. The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ clutch features a regressive spring mechanism simulating this concave force curve and also allows you to greatly adjust the pedal travel settings such as the feel and resistance.

The clutch features a 2-way hydraulic damper. This damping resists speed at the ingoing and outgoing stroke just as seen in real clutch assemblies. The amount of damping is adjustable.

A loadcell provides a true linear input measurement of the pedal position. Custom non-linear output curves can freely be configured using Heusinkveld SmartControl software.

Heusinkveld Ultimate+ Sim Pedals Electronics

Heusinkeld Sim Pedals Ultimate+ feature a custom-made 12-bit USB controller that pairs with Heusinkveld SmartControl software. After calibration, each pedal delivers an output signal using the full 12-bit range, ensuring precise and instant response in your favorite simulator software.

The controller is housed in a sturdy steel enclosure with four mounting holes for easy attachment to your simulator. It can also be mounted to the underside of the optional Sim Pedals Ultimate+ Baseplate.

The Sim Pedals Sprint are a strong, compact and highly adjustable design with the main parts made out of CNC precision laser cut steel, intended for your home-use simulator. Mathematical models were made to accurately calculate pedal travel and force curves, predicting with great accuracy how each pedal behaves in different configurations.

The pedals include all new concepts for bearings and pivot points in order to minimize unnecessary play. Automated testing routines have been used to simulate up to 1 million duty cycles.

Durable load cells measure throttle and clutch position and force applied to the brake. Unlike designs with rotary potentiometers, load cells provide true linear output in relation to your pedal output. They are insensitive to dust and dirt and do not wear out, resulting in unmatched accuracy and durability over time.

Custom developed and EMC tested electronics make sure each pedal responds instantly and accurately in your favourite simulator software. The included SmartControl software allows easy configuration of deadzones, brake force and customize (non-linear) pedal output curves.

Throttle

Smooth, accurate and greatly adjustable, the throttle pedal gives you excellent control over any race car. With five pedal travel settings, adjustable pedal force curve, spring preload, pedal angle and pedal height you’ll be able to set up the throttle exactly to your liking.

Brake
The dual stage brake system consists of an adjustable initial coil spring, simulating the pad to disc gap, and progressive rubber springs. The pedal firmness is adjusted by selecting from 6 different rubber stack heights. The pedal angle and pedal height can also be adjusted.

A 120kg load cell measures up to 65kg (143lbs) of maximum actual brake force, ensuring this brake pedal caters both for simracers who like to apply significant force while braking but also for racers who like much lower operating forces.

Clutch

The clutch features a regressive spring mechanism to simulate a typical concave clutch curve. Furthermore, the clutch features three pedal force curve settings, adjustable spring preload, pedal angle and pedal height.

Heusinkveld Sprint Sim Pedals Electronics

The all new electronics have been integrated in the brake pedal. This allows for a clean setup with a minimum of wire clutter.

The controller board has received a conformal coating in order to shield it from moisture and dust. The product as a whole is CE certified and has been tested to be compliant with all applicable European EMC norms and regulations.

The Sim Pedals Sprint come with a powerful configuration tool allowing you to set up your pedals in ways not previously possible: SmartControl. Engineering

Designed with CAD and FEA, all structural parts are CNC precision laser cut steel with a bead blasted or fine-structured powder coat finish. It is strong, stiff and durable.

Our new Sim Handbrake has retained the overall lever dimensions of its predecessor, yet can handle a higher force and does this with a much more compact base. This makes installation in your simulator much easier.

Adjustability

The Heusinkveld Sim Handbrake features a wide range of mechanical adjustments to set the handbrake up to your liking.

A 2-stage spring system provides resistance when pulling the lever. An initial metal coil spring simulates the pad-to-disc gap and/or slack on the handbrake cable. The travel and preload on this spring are adjustable. You can also remove this initial coil spring if you wish to do so.

The main loading on the brake is simulator by compressing the Heusinkveld proprietary elastomers, giving an unprecedented progressive brake feel. A total of 3 elastomers are provided in order to set a soft, medium or stiff handbrake feeling.

The lever can be set in a horizontal or vertical position. Per position there is a fine-tune adjustment up to 26 degrees to set the exact position of the lever.

If you use the included optional adapter plate (which allows for easy mounting onto aluminium profiles), you have up to 22,5 degrees of freedom to set the yaw of the handbrake. This can greatly enhance the ergonomics of your simulator, allowing you to pull the handbrake straight towards you from a multitude of mounting positions.

Sensors & Output

The lever actuates a 120kg load cell, resulting in up to 22kg of actual force measured at the lever. The measurement of the handbrake force is linear. Using Heusinkveld SmartControl software, you have complete freedom to set custom non-linear output curves.

The electronics of the handbrake are integrated inside the handbrake base. The system as a whole has passed EMC compliance testing, guaranteeing a stable output signal. A USB cable is supplied with every handbrake in order to connect it to your pc.

You now have the option to replace your early spec Sim Pedals Sprint brake rubbers with these new thermoset elastomers.

Check before buying

Please note that these new elastomers may already be installed on your Sim Pedals Sprint. This is likely the case if you bought your Sim Pedals Sprint from December 2021 onwards.

If your rubbers/elastomers have markings on the top indicating length and resistance (‘soft’ or ‘hard’), you already have the new specification installed. If there are no markings, you have the earlier spec.

Advantages

The key advantages of using these new elastomers compared to the early spec rubbers are as follows:

A much more progressive brake feel. When applying force to the brake initially there will be more travel. Then the brake pedal feel gradually but very clearly stiffens.

Firmer bump and rebound characteristics. Especially on rebound (eg. when you decrease the force you put on the brake) a smaller decrease of brake force is required for the pedal to start moving back to its starting position.

Further improved durability. Extensive testing has shown that these new elastomers have a near zero failure rate and show no performance degradation even after 1 million cycles.

We’d like to stress that this is an optional upgrade. Earlier spec brake rubbers will also serve you very well for years to come, albeit with slightly different performance characteristics.

The Sim Pedals Sprint Elastomer Kit contains the following components:

When operating the Sim Pedals Sprint near their maximum force capability, they need a very sturdy mount to your rig. If you want to mount your pedals to a baseplate first instead of mounting them individually, our Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Sprint Baseplate is your product of choice.

With the Sim Pedals Sprint being able to cope with high brake loads, a sturdy mount to your simulator rig is an absolute must. If you do not want mount the pedals directly to your rig but want to put them on a baseplate first, we offer an optional rigid mounting solution. The Sim Pedals Sprint baseplate allows for flexible positioning of individual pedals and also comes with an adjustable heel plate.

Overview

With the brake of the Sim Pedals Sprint being able to cope with up to 65kg of force, standard pedal mounting plates of rigs often show excessive flex under these loads. This baseplate helps to create a solid platform to mount the pedals on your rig.

The baseplate assembly consists of multiple elements: A pedal plate on which you mount the pedals, a height adjustable heel plate as well as two brackets which are used to secure the baseplate to an underlying frame.

Mounting hardware is supplied to mount the pedals to the baseplate, as well as hardware to mount the baseplate to a 6mm thick underlying plate.

Adjustability

Pedal plate

The baseplate mounting points for the pedals are slots allowing for lateral adjustment of individual pedals. The dimensions of these lateral slots are 29mm for the brake and 24mm for the throttle and clutch.

Every single pedal can also be adjusted 12,5mm backwards and forwards through the slots in the pedal feet themselves.

Heel plate

The heel plate on the Sim Pedals Sprint Baseplate is height adjustable. You can either put it in the default position (0mm elevation), or use spacers to raise it. Two types of spacers (20mm and 40mm) are supplied in order to put the heel plate in an elevated position.

Compatibility

This baseplate is only compatible with our Sim Pedals Sprint product.

The mounting holes on the brackets are compatible with TM T3PA and T3PA Pro (235mm) pedal sets. Six mounting points on the brackets are provided in total, giving plenty of options mount the baseplate to aluminium profiles or create your own drilling template to install the baseplate to your rig.

Please note that this baseplate does not allow you to install the pedals on a floor without further support, or in a wheel stand where there is no solid connection between the pedals and the seat. A full frame rig/simulator is always required.

The baseplate assembly consists of multiple elements: The main baseplate on which you mount the pedals, as well as two brackets which create ground clearance for the pedal bolts and nuts and provide mounting space for the pedal controller. The main baseplate element is 10mm thick and will show zero flex under maximum load.

The colour of the baseplate is black (fine structured powder coat).

Mounting Options

Depending on your rig, you have the option to use the straight/parallel brackets or angled brackets. Both bracket types are supplied with every baseplate. The angled brackets are specifically designed for rigs which come with a proprietary pedal mounting plate which is inclined towards the seat.

Our angled brackets tilt the Sim Pedals Ultimate Baseplate by 15 degrees. This offsets the default plate inclination from your rig creating a horizontal mounting platform for your Sim Pedals. If your rig has an angled pedal deck, this will also elevate the position of the pedals, enhancing ergonomics and resulting in a more realistic driving position where the pedal box and seat are at a more level position relative to each other. The images show both types of brackets, as well as a schematic showing various seating positions and the appropriate bracket type.

Both sets of brackets are compatible with G25/G27 mounting holes, allowing for easy installation on many available simulator rigs. Alternatively, the brackets can also be mounted to the side of the baseplate in a wider layout.

Every baseplate comes with a set of bolts and nuts to attach the pedals to the baseplate and mount the baseplate to your rig. Next to mounting holes for your pedals, every baseplate also features slots to position the Sim Pedals USB-controller.

Compatibility

The Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Ultimate Baseplate is suitable for our Sim Pedals Ultimate+. It can also be used for the Sim Pedals Ultimate (non + version) and the Sim Pedals Pro.

The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ Baseplate is NOT compatible with the Sim Pedals Sprint or Sim Pedals Racecentre. For the Sim Pedals Sprint baseplate, please click here.

Improve your comfort while driving with the Heusinkveld Rest Pedal. Made out of 4mm laser cut stainless steel, this footrest provides a lot of strength both in the longitudinal and lateral directions. The double supports for the footplate ensure that you can actually brace yourself against the Rest Pedal, whether you want to climb out of your simulator or push yourself into your seat.

With a 30 degree total angle adjustment, using 7 position adjustment slots, and the option to move the complete Rest Pedal assembly forwards or backwards using the slotted mounting pattern, you will be able to fully complement the ergonomics of your pedal set. Avoid accidentally touching a pedal when your left foot has nothing do to and rest it comfortably.

The mounting pattern of the Rest Pedal matches Heusinkveld Sprint and Ultimate pedals. An additional mounting pattern is provided for mounting onto an aluminium profile. Various bolts, nuts and T-nuts are provided with the Rest Pedal to assist with the installation.

The compatibility of the Heusinkveld Rest Pedal with other products is as follows:

• Compatible with Sprint 2-pedal set and any Sprint Baseplate.
• Compatible with Ultimate+ 2-pedal set and any Ultimate Baseplate
• Not compatible with Heusinkveld 3-pedal sets when mounted on a Heusinkveld Baseplate.

Heusinkveld MagShift is a large, GT-style sequential shifter packed with extra features. The compact base-unit houses the innovative magnetic shift system which simulates the feel of an actual gear clicking into place.

Heusinkveld Magshift with SmartControl

With Heusinkveld SmartControl you have the option to expand the outputs of the lever and the 3 extra buttons to a total of 10 fully customizable outputs. You can configure and customize the outputs using the easy-to-use editor in SmartControl.

For every single input you can configure a primary and secondary output. An output can be a selectable joystick button or any keyboard keystroke (including modifier keys such as Shift, Ctrl, Alt etcetera).

Mounting Heusinkveld Magshift

Every MagShift comes with a U-shaped mounting bracket which makes mounting the shifter to your simulator super easy.

The U-brackets mounts to your simulator with just 2 bolts, ensuring a narrow profile of the overall installation. The MagShift is then attached to the bracket.

When mounted onto aluminium profiles, the MagShift only requires a single profile slot for mounting.

Mounting adjustments & dimensions
The mounting bracket allows for several adjustments to fine-tune the position of your MagShift.

Yaw adjustment: by rotating the U-bracket relative to the mounting platform.
Height adjustment: by choosing any of the 3 horizontal rows of mounting holes in the U-bracket.
Tilt adjustment: by choosing any diagonal combination of the mounting holes in the U-bracket.
The height of the MagShift (from the bottom of the mounting bracket to the top of the lever) is as follows.

36,2 cm (14,25 in) when installed in the lowest position.
37,7 cm (14,84 in) when installed in the highest position.

Mounting materials
Mounting materials are supplied in order to attach the MagShift to most common simulator platforms. A selection of bolts (2 lenghts) and nuts (flange nuts and guided I-type slot 8 T-nuts) are included in the package. This makes installing the MagShift, especially onto aluminium profiles, super easy.

Adjustability

The magnetic shift system is 3-way adjustable. The overall force, upshift force and downshift force can all be set individually. This for example allows you to set a firm upshift and soft downshift if you wish to do so. At the firmest setting you’ll be able to simulate the forces as experienced in real race cars.

Sensors & Electronics

Opto-electronic sensors are used to detect shifts. This means that there is no wear on electronic components, ensuring reliable operation for years to come. The system is plug-and-play, after connecting MagShift via USB you can immediately assign functions in your favorite simulator software.

Mini button box

Be in control with the 3 extra buttons in the base of the MagShift. Buttons can be assigned to any available function in your favourite simulator software.

Extra functions can be unlocked when you install Heusinkveld SmartControl software. With SmartControl, you can set up to 10 fully customizable outputs using the lever and the 3 buttons. You can trigger multiple outputs simultaneously, delayed or independently from a single input.

If you own a set of classic Heusinkveld Ultimate’s, you have the option to upgrade these pedals with the most important technical enhancements of the latest Sim Pedals Ultimate+. This Ultimate Upgrade Kit will improve your classic Sim Pedals Ultimate with regard to durability, electronics, SmartControl software and all new brake spring system components.

Components

The Ultimate Upgrade Kit is for owners of the classic Sim Pedals Ultimate who want to benefit of the main technical enhancements of the latest Sim Pedals Ultimate+.

Included parts

The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ are both an aesthetical and technical upgrade over the classic Sim Pedals Ultimate. This Upgrade Kit contains the main technical upgrades.

Aesthetical and minor technical differences will be present compared to the Sim Pedals Ultimate+ after upgrading.

Compatibility

If you own the classic Sim Pedals Ultimate which has RJ-plugs to connect the pedals to the controller (sold between mid-2014 to 2021), you can use this upgrade kit.

If you own the classic Sim Pedals Ultimate which has wire terminals on the controller (sold between late 2013 – early 2014), you must crimp RJ9 plugs (crimp tool and plugs not included in the Upgrade Kit) to the pedal wires before you can use the SmartControl controller. If you own the Sim Pedals Ultimate+ (sold from July 2021 onwards), do not buy this Upgrade Kit. Your pedals already have all parts included in this Upgrade Kit.

The Upgrade Kit is not compatible with other pedal series such as Sim Pedals Pro, Sim Pedals Sprint or Sim Pedals Racecenter.

More Information

Within the Upgrade Kit, the new controller box and part of the rubber stack assembly are pre-assembled. You must still install/integrate these assemblies into your current Sim Pedals Ultimate pedal set.

All other components come as individual parts. You have to do the installation of the new parts into the existing pedals yourself. This will take approximately 30 minutes. Tools to perform the installation are included in the Upgrade Kit.

We provide printed schematics / exploded views with the Upgrade Kit. These schematics and an installation video giving further guidance on the installation can also be found in our Support section.
